Mr. Abdelaziz Benzakour

Mr. Abdelaziz Benzakour was born in 1943 in Marrakech. Since 1997, he is a member of the Human Rights Advisory Council (CCDH).

He was first president of the Bar of Casablanca from 1983 to 1985, and afterwards, he became president of the Moroccan Bar Association (1986-1989). From 1988 to 2002, he was president of the “Union Africaine des Avocats”.

Founding member of the « Organisation Marocaine des Droits de l’Homme » (OMDH), and president at present of the working group within the CCDH in charge of external relations, Mr. Benzakour was also member of the ancient “Instance indépendante d’Arbitrage”.
